Access & Inclusion

We are working hard to make the NZ International Comedy Festival inclusive and accessible. We will continue to update this page with additional information leading up to Festival.

Accessible Bookings

Accessible Booking lines can help you book wheelchair seats, suggest the best seats for hearing loops, give you information about venue access and answer any other questions you might have. Hearing Loops

Many of our venues are equipped with hearing loops. In Auckland, these include the Bruce Mason Centre, Kiri Te Kanawa Theatre, Rangatira at Q, and Loft at Q, and Te Auaha in Wellington. In some venues, specific seats are better than others for the hearing loops, so get in touch with the venue or ticketing agent to get seating recommendations. Wheelchair Companion Seats

We are pleased to announce that patrons booking wheelchair seats will have access to free Wheelchair Companion Tickets (1 per wheelchair seat) for almost every show in the Festival! For individual shows, talk to the ticketing agent about whether there are any tickets available. Click here or visit the Buy Tickets page.

Some venues offer additional services. Q Theatre offers fee-free Wheelchair bookings over the phone.

 

Assistance for Blind or Vision Impaired Patrons

Comedy, especially stand-up, can be a great option for blind or vision impaired patrons. For show recommendations, call on +64 9 309 9241 ext 2 or email us at access@comedyfestival.co.nz.
