Industry Development

Throughout the year the New Zealand Comedy Trust offers a number of creative development and professional development workshops for professional comedians. These workshops aim to bring together comedians from across the industry to share ideas and develop individual skills.

Workshops we have previously run include; Creative Brainstorming led by writer/ playwright/ creative facilitator Kathryn Burnett; an MC Workshop led by award-winning MCs Jarred Christmas and Nick Rado; a Storytelling workshop led by Michele A'Court; and Opening Weekend where comedians test-drive their Festival shows with an audience of industry practitioners helping to develop narrative and structure.
